Micah Diaz’s Story

He worked relentlessly on every aspect of his performance, never settling for "good enough," never tolerating excuses from himself. He combed every ballot for ways to calibrate his performance and threw himself into rounds, sessions, and drills with limitless energy.

His determination paid off. A year later, Micah won the NITOC 2019 Tournament Championship title.

When Micah Diaz decides something is going to happen, it happens. Now, Micah has decided to make his students the best that they can be. I see no limit in his potential. We couldn't be more excited to welcome Coach Micah to the Ace Peak Team.

At NITOC 2018, Micah Diaz cheered as one of my top students took the Tournament Champion title. As the fanfare settled, and we all said our goodbyes, Micah stopped to tell me something.

He had just finished his novice year. He'd had minimal coaching before I worked with him. Nothing about his performance said "National Contender."

So I was surprised when Micah looked me dead in the eye and told me that he wanted to hold the championship trophy next year. I said that it would take an enormous amount of work. He said: "No problem."

The next year, Micah showed everyone what he was capable of.
