Debut Challenge Updates: Webinars, Leaderboards, and More
We’re a few weeks out from the Debut Challenge. Here are some updates as we get ready for our three days of competition.
New Dates
The Debut Challenge will now take place from April 30th to May 2nd (Thursday through Saturday). This extension is to give students maximum preparation time on the new resolutions.
Topic Webinar
To help spearhead research and case discussion on the new topics, Coach Drew and I will be running webinars on the Debut Challenge debate topics. These webinars are free for registrants.
Each webinar will take place on April 16th from 3:00pm-3:45pm CST and run on Zoom. We will email registrants further details a few days before the webinar.
Leaderboards
Tournament winners deserve to be recognized. After the Debut Challenge ends, you’ll be able to check out the new Ace Peak Leaderboards page, where we’ll display the aggregate results from the top 15 teams in each style (LD and TP).
A new leaderboard will be created each season, so if you compete in our three tournaments this season (the Debut Challenge, the Stoa/NCFCA Qualifier, and the Stoa/NCFCA Championship), you have an excellent shot at racking up the points you need to land on the leaderboard page.
Scholarship Discounts
We know that now is a difficult time for everyone. To make our first tournament as accessible as possible, we can offer discounted registration for those who are experiencing financial hardship. Just contact us and we’ll do our best to help.
