Meet Criswell College, the Tournament Sponsor Preparing the Next Christian Leaders

Criswell College has generously sponsored our upcoming online national tournaments. Here’s why we’re excited to partner with them.

What They Do

Criswell is a Christian college in Dallas, Texas that offers graduate and undergraduate degrees.

  • Mentor access. Criswell has an ultra-low student-to-faculty ratio of 10:1, and most of its classes have under 20 students. The college is intentionally kept small so students can cultivate mentorship relationships with the passionate, highly credentialed faculty.

  • Biblical foundation. Criswell started in 1970 as a Baptist night school that taught the Bible to lay people. It eventually grew into an accredited college, but its roots have remained the same. Criswell is first and foremost about preparing people for a lifetime of service to Jesus Christ.

  • Academic excellence. Criswell recently received the highest possible results from their accreditation review by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. That’s academic-speak for: “We have no notes, keep doing exactly what you’re doing.”

Criswell is Perfect for Christian Debaters

A passion for Christ is evident in every aspect of Criswell College. For example, all undergraduate students are required to take 42 hours of rigorous coursework in Bible, theology, and ministry. If you want to spend your time at college pushing yourself to the most profound possible grasp of your faith, Criswell is a perfect fit.

Criswell Scholarships

  • Criswell has generously sponsored the Ace Peak x Ziggy national tournaments with a $48,000 scholarship prize pool.

  • Scholarships are paid $2000 per year for the duration of your time at Criswell, conditional on acceptance.

  • To win a scholarship, you must win a championship in either form of debate, in either of our national tournaments.
